Ray Lugar - Exclusive Respect II (Stay Hi Ent./Team Fifty)

If you need to know who Ray Lugar is, all you really need to do is go to the Team Fifty website and listen to the track "Payin' Dues", where he jacks the "So Seductive" beat to basically lay out his entire resume as an MC and a producer in the space of 3 minutes. He's got a lot of history in this town, I remember a couple months ago at Sounds N Da Hood, when Ro was showing some old footage and videos he was in, and Ray Lugar was in there rapping in one video from like '91 or something like that. Him and Stevie Stay Hi the Low Key God have done a lot for the the Bmore scene over the years, with the Strength In Numbers and 50,000 Headz movements, and more recently the Big Bad Beat Brigade series of shows, and they did it big on this mixtape with the slick Miami Kaos artwork and everything.

Ray Lugar - "Crabs" (mp3)
They call Baltimore the City of Crabs and say the town's full of haters, and given some of the comments I've been getting on my posts lately, I see what they mean. So I know some people are gonna feel this song's topic, and it's kind of a catchy track, reminds me of "Never Scared."

Ray Lugar - "Frigid" (mp3)
This is one of my favorite tracks and it's kinda political, Ray spitting real talk about the Hurricane Katrina situation.

That song Crabs is the truth. It's ashame that these haters come to this site and spread hate on other local who's trying to do something!

Big Ups to Ray Lu and Low Key!!!! I really have a lot of respect for these 2 guys! They've been holding down Baltimore for a min! Good looking, AL!

yea i see what you mean but by the look of how the tyree,thing was going i think that it seem dc is the "city of haters".

Eventhough I'm from DC, it seems that cats here are on some hating ish. I know DC isn't making much noise in the Hip Hop circuit this city is know for Go Go also cats in DC really don't appreciate Hip Hop like Baltimore and other cities. They consider it back in the days a bama thing. So that's why DC is mad late to the game and now trying to catch up.

^^^ hey to the cat that posted that im from dc an i posted the thing befor you. an i think one reason dc hip-hop scene his bad is because we do got a lot of hating in dc. any i think we are trying to catch up. but do we need so much hate?

How is a nygga a crab if the rapper is wack? if a nygga wack he is wack. how is that hatin?
{not talkin about lugar.}

Yeah that's true if the nigga is straight up wack then you can say he's garbage but if the nigga is nice and you saying he's wack. Now that's hating in my book. But it's true is so many crabs in the world.
